Fire and Knives hazards occupy numbers one and two positio0ns as far as kitchen safety is concerned. There is no gainsaying it that this two factors alone account for more than 70% of accidents occurring in the kitchen. We hereby give some tips aimed at bringing down the number of accidents occurring in our kitchen. This tips are listed bellow.
(1) Your knives must be sharp.A sharp knife is better than a knife that is not sharp as the latter would require force  to cut any material.Forcing the knife is unsafe as it could result in cutting the holder.
(2) At no time should you leave a knife either in the sink or in the Dishwater especially if the water is dirty.Since the inside of the dishwater is not visible, the possibility of getting cut with the invisible knife is very high.

(4)Throwing knives for catch is very common in the home. This action is an unsafe act and the implications should be made known to the children who are the the major culprit.Thrown knives could be wrongly caught as to injure the 'Goal keeper.'
(5) Always ensure that the sharp edge of knives are not facing up whenever the are placed down.
(6) We must ensure that knives, forks and any other sharp object are properly kept in a drawer beyond the reach of ignorant children.
